This concept has been haunting me for quite a few years. The pot has been quietly, slowly simmering. But in the past few months, it is started to boil.
This process can be attributed to many different sources, some which I have blogged about (justice, choices, food) but the genuine disquiet has been building and mainly comes from the desire not to be a hypocrite. If I believe it, then what do I do about it?
This website is dedicated to the issues, resolutions, and links toward a more authentic lifestyle. It will be a lifelong journey, one I hope others will join me on as we wrestle with the issue of an everyday faith.
People don't care what you know until they know how much you care...
James 2:14-17 (The Message)
Dear friends, do you think you'll get anywhere in this if you learn all the right words but never do anything? Does merely talking about faith indicate that a person really has it? For instance, you come upon an old friend dressed in rags and half-starved and say, "Good morning, friend! Be clothed in Christ! Be filled with the Holy Spirit!" and walk off without providing so much as a coat or a cup of soup—where does that get you? Isn't it obvious that God-talk without God-acts is outrageous nonsense?
